Eligibility Criteria

Class 8, 9, 10. Age criteria: Must be born between Jan 1, 2011 and Dec 31, 2012 (for 2026-27).

Marking Scheme & Format

Total Marks: 216. 60 Questions. 1-48 Single Option Correct (+3, -1), 49-60 Multiple Options Correct (+6, 0).

Excluded Topics / Out of Scope

Calculus-based advanced derivations, college-level organic chemistry mechanism nomenclature.

Unit 1: Physics

5 Key Subtopics
  • Mechanics: Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Gravitation, Work-Energy-Power
  • Fluids: Pressure, Buoyancy, Archimedes' Principle
  • Thermodynamics: Heat transfer, calorimetry, expansion of solids/liquids
  • Light: Reflection, refraction, lenses, spherical mirrors, human eye defects
  • Electricity & Magnetism: Ohm's law, circuits, magnetic effect of current

Unit 2: Chemistry

5 Key Subtopics
  • Matter in Our Surroundings: States of matter, separation techniques
  • Atoms and Molecules: Mole concept, stoichiometry, chemical equations
  • Structure of Atom: Bohr's model, electronic configuration, valency
  • Periodic Classification: Trends in properties (size, IE, electronegativity)
  • Acids, Bases, Salts, Metals and Non-metals, Carbon and its compounds

Unit 3: Biology

5 Key Subtopics
  • Cell biology: Cell structure, organelles, cell division (mitosis/meiosis)
  • Tissues: Plant and animal tissues structure and functions
  • Life Processes: Nutrition, respiration, transportation, excretion in plants/animals
  • Control & Coordination: Nervous system, plant hormones, endocrine system
  • Genetics & Evolution: Mendel's laws, monohybrid and dihybrid crosses
