Eligibility Criteria
Class 11 & 12. Must be born after July 1, 2007 (for 2026 cycle).
Marking Scheme & Format
Total Marks: 216. 60 Questions. 48 Single Correct (+3, -1), 12 Multiple Correct (+6, 0).
Excluded Topics / Out of Scope
Advanced analytical instrumentation mechanisms (NMR/IR spectroscopy details).

Unit 1: Physical Chemistry
7 Key Subtopics- Mole concept, equivalent weight, redox titration calculations
- Gaseous state, ideal & real gases, van der Waals equation
- Atomic structure, quantum numbers, orbital shapes
- Chemical thermodynamics, enthalpy, entropy, Gibbs free energy
- Chemical & Ionic equilibrium, pH calculations, buffer solutions
- Chemical kinetics, order of reaction, Arrhenius equation
- Electrochemistry, Nernst equation, conductance, Faraday's laws
Unit 2: Organic Chemistry
4 Key Subtopics- Isomerism (Structural and Stereoisomerism - Geometrical & Optical)
- General Organic Chemistry (GOC): Inductive, electromeric, resonance effects
- Reaction mechanisms of Hydrocarbons, Alcohols, Phenols, Ethers, Carbonyls
- Amines, biomolecules (carbohydrates, proteins, amino acids)
Unit 3: Inorganic Chemistry
3 Key Subtopics- Chemical bonding, hybridization, VSEPR theory, molecular orbital theory
- s-block, p-block, d-block and f-block elements chemistry
- Coordination compounds, isomerism, crystal field theory (CFT)
